La presidencia sueca de la UE y el Parlamento Europeo alcanzaron hoy un acuerdo sobre una directiva comunitaria para aumentar la eficiencia energética de los edificios y reducir las emisiones contaminantes. Ambas partes tienen previsto explicar el contenido técnico del acuerdo mañana, durante una conferencia de prensa, según indicó el PE en un comunicado.

Los usuarios de Madrid y Barcelona serán los primeros en poder contratarlos este año

POR INTERNET MÓVIL A VELOCIDADES DE HASTA 21 MBPS

• La compañía empezará a comercializar este mes los servicios de Banda Ancha

Móvil de mayor velocidad en Madrid y Barcelona, ciudades donde comenzó a

desplegar en la red 3G la infraestructura HSPA + en abril pasado.

• En 2010 el resto de capitales de más de 250.000 habitantes podrá beneficiarse de

estos nuevos servicios, que posibilitan la descarga de datos hasta 21Mbps, y la

subida de los mismos hasta 5,7Mbps.

• La Tarifa Plana Internet Maxi posibilitará al usuario la navegación en movilidad a

altas velocidades por 49 euros. El precio del modem será de 19 euros.

• Telefónica ha desplegado en el 50% de su red 2G la tecnología EDGE. Esta

tecnología permitirá, a los clientes que no estén en cobertura 3G, pasar de

velocidades medias de 40 kbps a 300 kpbs, casi ocho veces más.

 

a partir de 2010 Telefónica irá introduciendo nuevas funcionalidades, terminales y dispositivos que permitirán alcanzar en un

primer momento los 42 Mbps en descarga, y posteriormente los 84 Mbps, mientras que en el envío de datos se llegará hasta los 11,4 Mbps.

 

Con LTE se alcanzarán velocidades de descarga de hasta 320 Mbps y 80 Mbps en subida

GSMA Launches European Mobile Manifesto to Help Create a Prosperous, Green and Inclusive Europe

mobile teleworking can reduce carbon emissions by 22.1 MtCO2e a year, or energy savings of €7.7bn by 2015; mHealth, calculations show a saving of up to €78bn by 2015 and increasing connectivity through mobile will deliver greater productivity, which is estimated to add an aggregate of up to €349bn (or 2.9% of EU GDP) by 2015.

The mobile sector represents 1.3% of EU Gross Value Added, 1.2% of EU GDP, and employs over 600,000 people. Within EU telecoms, mobile now accounts for approximately 61% of revenues, up from 47% in 2002. The sector continues to invest in its next-generation infrastructure, providing a strong economic stimulus. Current estimates suggest that the mobile industry in Europe will deploy €145bn in capital expenditure through 2013, creating direct and indirect employment for more than 4.7 million people
