  Who, upon watching the first installment of the Star Wars saga, didn't want a portable device that could project digital images the way R2D2 did with Princess Leia's urgent call for help from Obi-Wan and the rest of the Jedis? We're still a ways from portable holography, but several companies, including a startup created by a pair of college kids, are jockeying to be the first to market with projector cellphones that beam a larger version of whatever's on their tiny screens onto walls.
